Original Smart Pet doors are manufactured by and use the same construction as the world's leading cooler/freezer doors. These doors are insulated with high-density polystyrene and faced on each side with 0.063 satin anodized aluminum riveted to an extruded aluminum frame. They will NOT rust, crack or chip! The 4.7 R factor will maintain a 30º temperature difference in extreme weather conditions. Fully gasketed to eliminate drafts. Full perimeter sealing is provided by a replaceable, neoprene, double-wiper gasket on the door top, sides and bottom. New Smart Pet Lexan Flap doors are made of double paned insulated Lexan plastic for high quality and durability in a see thru door. Lighter weight than the original aluminum flap door. Lexan flap doors use the same aluminum frame and are fully gasketed to eliminate drafts. EASY INSTALLATION: Telescoping frame can be installed in any door 1 3/4" thick or any wall up to 11" thick. SUPERIOR SECURITY: Both doors can be locked or unlocked from the inside for security and pet control. HEAVY-DUTY FRAME CONSTRUCTION WITH DOUBLE ACTING HINGE: Anodized aluminum frame with threshold for easy installation. Door closes quietly and automatically with concealed hinge.
