Puppy Kindergarten
Instructor: Laura Salvatore
$100 for 5
weeks, 5 consecutive Tuesdays at 6:30pm
For
puppies 7-20 weeks, we work on socialization, housebreaking, biting and chewing
problems, we teach the puppy to walk nicely on a leash, sit, stay, lie down, and
come when called. We provide individual attention for specific problems an owner
might be experiencing. This is a natural, positive reinforcement program,
developed by Laura over the course of more than 30 years raising and training
dogs successfully. We encourage families, and particularly children, to attend.
All classes require dogs have
current vaccinations. All dogs must be on a leash (no retractable leashes).
Comfortable, CASUAL clothing and comfortable footwear *NO SANDALS, FLIP FLOPS,
OR HIGH HEELS should be worn by attendees.
"I enjoyed the class alot, and Caydin did
to, he learned many things as to
basic house training, it inspired me, as it will to others, I would strongly
recamend this class"

"Cuba"
At first, you might think that puppy kindergarten is all about your dog. How
he behaves, how he thinks and how good he'll be when he (or she) graduates.
Surprisingly, it's not. It's far more about how you interact with your dog
and how your dog learns through that interaction. My wife and I learned far
more than our puppy did. His real lessons came later as we applied what we
had learned. Today, our 'Cuba' is a great dog who loves people, is well
behaved and is very happy. We now live in Key West and it is the most
dog-friendly town we've ever seen. People bring their dogs everywhere from
shopping at Home Depot and to their favorite bars on a Friday night. We're
proud to bring ours out with us anywhere because he's so well behaved. Our
class leader was Laura Salvatore and through her class, we have had nothing
but joy with our buddy.

"Lady
Reagan Kennedy" 6 months old
Laura Salvatore’s puppy class is really
fun!
I took my eight week old boxer, Reagan,
to Laura’s class on the recommendation of the T.C. Kennel Club.
My boxer puppy didn’t care to play with
other dogs even if they were twice her size. She would rather show them she was
boss. By the second week Laura had Reagan playing with every dog in the class.
Laura teaches everything from grooming
tips to obedience for puppies and she presents the information in an
entertaining format based on years of practical experience.
Laura’s class is a gift to every dog and
his owner for many years to come. Don’t miss this great opportunity for you and
your dog, lots of fun and good information!

"Noah"
"We enrolled Noah, our Golden Retriever, in Puppy
Kindergarten in 2004.
The results were remarkable! Laura really knows how to bring out the
best in each breed, and give the owners the keys to getting the most
from their puppy. Noah is a beautiful adult now, and is the best behaved
dog I've ever known. This early training has paid immeasurable
benefits."

I took the Puppy Kindergarten class with my
miniature dachshund Gretel. She was my first dog so I had no references to
compare my current experiences to. I felt I was extremely motivated to do the
right things for my puppy, but had no real clue as to how to proceed. Attending
these classes gave me my track to run on regarding the basics of training my
dog. I now have a 13 month old young adult that, in my opinion (and others) is
very loveable, gentle, well behaved and just a joy to be around.

"The Puppy Kindergarten class was so much fun, for both my dog
and myself. I
will admit I was dreading the course because I was sure that my dog
was simply beyond hope, that he would be so much worse behaved than all the
other dogs and that I would feel constantly stressed and embarrassed. It
turns out that my dog LOVED the challenges presented to him and the
different exercises he learned in the course and he ended up being at the
head of the class, and a real joy to be around. The constant encouragement
and support from Laura was priceless and she made me feel right at home and
very capable. There is no other training course that can compare to this one
in Traverse City, and I highly recommend it!"

Hi my name is Sharon Rinehart. I have been breeding dogs for
14+ years. I bred Golden Retriever and then switched to Decker Rat Terriers. I
took my first class over 20 years ago. I signed up for the puppy class and the
obedience classes at DogeZone. As a dog breeder I would suggest that everyone
that has a new puppy take at least two classes at DogeZone. Everyone would have
a better trained pet.
