SECTION II:  HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS

This product contains no ingredients which are considered to represent a health hazard as currently defined by 29 CFR 1920. 1200

This product is not a carcinogen or potential carcinogen as defined by OSHA, The NTP, or the IARC monographs.

 

SECTION III:  PHYSICAL DATA

BOILING POINT:  352 degrees Fahrenheit

VAPOR PRESSURE: 1 mm of HG @ 20 degrees centigrade

VAPOR DENSITY, (Air=1): 4.69

SOLUBILITY IN WATER: Emulsifies; Soluble only in trace quantities.

SPECIFIC GRAVITY, (H20=1): 0.841 @25 Degrees C./25 Degrees C.

PERCENT VOLATILE BY VOLUME: 93%

EVAPORATION RATE, (Water=1): <1

P.H.: (10% Emulsion): 4 - 6

APPEARANCE AND ODOR: Amber liquid with citrus odor.

 

SECTION IV:  FIRE AND EXPLOSION DATA

FLASH POINT, (method used): 120 degrees Fahrenheit, (C.C.)

FLAMMABLE LIMITS, (A.I. 302 degrees Fahrenheit): LEL-0.7; VEL-6. 1

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: 1) Dry powder; 2) Foam; 3) C02

SPECIAL FIREFIGHTING PROCEDURES: Avoid use of water as it may spread flame.

UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Combustible liquid. Keep away from sparks and open flame.

 

SECTION V: HEALTH HAZARD DATA

THRESHOLD LIMIT VALUE: Unknown

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: Direct eye contact will result in irritation. Possible skin irritation with prolonged use.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

     SKIN: Wash immediately with soap and water.

     EYES: Flush with water, if irritation persists, call physician.

     INGESTION: Drink large volumes of milk or other liquid, call physician immediately.

     INHALATION: If symptoms of overexposure and experienced, evacuate to fresh air. Consult physician if breathing is difficult.

 

SECTION VI: REACTIVITY DATA

STABILITY DATA: Stable

INCOMPATIBILITY:  Avoid strong oxidizing agents.

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: None known.

HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION:  May occur. Polymerization catalysts such as aluminum chloride should be avoided.

 

SECTION VII:  SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES

SMALL SPILLS: Wipe up product, rinse soiled area with water down the drain.

LARGE SPILLS:  Stop leak at the source and collect into a suitable container, then treat as a small spill.

Follow state and local regulations for disposal of large non-reclaimable spills.

 

SECTION VIII:  SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Not normally required, but if vapor concentration becomes high, use general purpose organic vapor mask.

VENTILATION: Local exhaust should be adequate.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Nonporous rubber gloves.

EYE PROTECTION: Chemical splash goggles or face shield.

OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:  Usually not required.

 

SECTION IX:  SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORAGE: Handle as a combustible liquid. Vapors can ignite, store away from heat and open flame. Always store unused portion in original container with cap secure. Avoid temperature extremes.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS: All handling equipment should be electrically grounded. As with all chemicals, use with due care according to label instructions and precautions.
