For purebred dogs and their owners who wish to compete in AKC or UKC breed ring competitions.  This class is run like a show ring, with both first time handlers and seasoned veterans. We teach you to present your dog to it’s very best advantage – you will learning structure, stacking, gaiting, ring patterns and procedures, grooming, handler attire, and the point system, with finishing  a champion the goal.  Dogs 3 months and up.

Laura has bred and finished many Golden Retriever champions, as will as putting points on or finishing champions within every Group, also competing successfully at Westminster.

All classes require dogs have current vaccinations. All dogs must be on a leash (no retractable leashes). Comfortable, CASUAL clothing and comfortable footwear *NO SANDALS, FLIP FLOPS, OR HIGH HEELS should be worn by attendees.

Doggie socializing is a must for pet and show dogs. We love to come to see "Auntie Laura" on Monday nights. Every class is a positive experience for the dogs involved. It's also lots of fun for the owners. We are so fortunate to have Laura in the Traverse City area to help prepare our babies for their ring experience. Thanks, Laura, for all you do for us and that includes evaluating new litters. You are the best.

My Breeder says I can't and Laura says I can. Guess what...I can!
Just last weekend my girl went Best of Winners and I was on the other end of the lead.

There is nothing quite like being able to show off your beautiful dog and it gets even better when your dog wins! I had bought books about showing dogs and they are collecting dust. I've learned everything I needed to know in Laura's Show Dog Handling classes. And, I've made some wonderful friends in class too.

Hi my name is Sharon Rinehart. I have been breeding dogs for 14+ years. I bred Golden Retriever and then switched to Decker Rat Terriers. I took my first class over 20 years ago. I signed up for the puppy class and the obedience classes at DogeZone. As a dog breeder I would suggest that everyone that has a new puppy take at least two classes at DogeZone. Everyone would have a better trained pet.
